Ricciardo hit with 10 place grid penalty

Daniel Ricciardo will take a 10 place grid penalty at the Bahrain Grand Prix as a result of a pit stop error in Malaysia.Red Bull released Ricciardo from his pit stop with his front left wheel loose, with Ricciardo stopping in the pit lane and being pulled back in to the pit box by his team to rectify the issue. However, as part of a new FIA regulation, Ricciardo is hit with a double penalty having already served a 10 second stop/go in the race.The decision read: “10 Second Stop and Go Penalty and drop of 10 grid positions at the driver's next event,” with the reason given that “Car 3 was released in an unsafe condition”.The penalty compounds a miserable day for Ricciardo, who was...
