Magnussen: 2014 cars more driver cars

Despite fears that this year's Championship could be decided on the pit wall, Kevin Magnussen believes the new rules place more emphasis on the driver's ability. This year marks the start of the new 1.6-litre V6 era while ERS and fuel limits are also changing the face of Formula One. Added to that, this year's cars have less downforce due to aerodynamic changes and a new rule governing the placement of the exhaust outlet. Magnussen, who is on his way to Melbourne for the season-opening grand prix, spent six days during pre-season testing familiarising himself with the 2014 rules. And the McLaren rookie, who won last year's Formula Renault 3.5 Championship, is happy to say the new rules...
