Lotus running halted after E22 fire
– Pastor Maldonado described his final day of pre-season running in the Lotus E22 as 'tough' after the car caught fire early in the afternoon session at Sakhir. Maldonado's time in the E22 had already been cut short on Thursday when the car suffered an exhaust failure and more problems struck on the second day of the final pre-season test. Maldonado ended the day down in 10th place, having completed 31 laps. "It was a tough day for us with the fire," he said. "We need to keep working and for sure it's not an ideal situation for the team, or for me but we need to keep focus, work together and I hope for the future we can be better."
