Smedley move to Williams confirmed

Williams has confirmed that it has hired Felipe Massa's former race engineer Rob Smedley from Ferrari.Smedley joins the team in the newly-created role of head of vehicle performance, and will work with Felipe Massa's race engineer Andrew Murdoch as well as Jonathan Eddolls who is engineer to Valtteri Bottas. Smedley will start work with Williams from the Bahrain Grand Prix onwards.The team has also announced the signing of Richard Lockwood as head of race strategy, joining Williams from Marussia.
