Lotus announce long-term Renault agreement

The Lotus F1 Team will continue to use Renault Sport F1 power units beyond 2014 after the two companies agreed a new long-term contract. The deal is for "2014 and beyond" according to a statement. Lotus and Renault had yet to agree to a new contract for the current season prior to today, prompting rumours the partnership could end. However signing and announcing the deal was just a formality. Speaking about the deal, Renault Sport F1 president, Jean-Michel Jalinier, said: "We are pleased to see our partnership officially confirmed as the E22 takes to the track for its first official test.
