Robin Frijns positive after opening day of Bahrain test

Robin Frijns has ended his preparations for the new Formula 1 season with Caterham in positive fashion around the Bahrain International Circuit, after the Dutchman managed to complete 68 laps behind the wheel of his Renault-powered machine. The Leafield-based outfit ended the day without any major issues despite a troubled start to the season in Jerez. With only several weeks remaining until the start of the Formula 1 season around Melbourne’s Albert Park street circuit, the preparations within the paddock were resumed in the sunshine of Bahrain with a full grid taking to the 5.412km circuit for the first time this season.
