Hulkenberg quickest as Red Bull woes continue

Sahara Force India Nico Hulkenberg set the fastest time on the first day of testing in Bahrain on another difficult day for reigning champions Red Bull. Hulkenberg's time of 1:36.880 was almost a second quicker than Ferrari's Fernando Alonso - and faster than the best time achieved during last year's Bahrain Grand Prix. Alonso caused the first red flag of the day when his Ferrari F14 T stopped early on in the session but the team quickly repaired any problems. Lewis Hamilton was third for Mercedes, with McLaren's Kevin Magnussen in fourth. Sebastian Vettel set the fifth fastest time for Red Bull but their problems persisted.
