Lotus E22 makes public debut in Bahrain

The new Lotus E22 made its public debut on Wednesday morning in Bahrain.After 30 minute delay to the start of the second test, Romain Grosjean was first out on track at the Bahrain International Circuit. It is the first time Grosjean has driven the car, with Pastor Maldonado having been at the wheel during two recent filming days in Jerez.Lotus opted to miss the first pre-season test in Jerez last month in order to have more development time with the new car. However, issues with the Renault power unit restricted the amount of running that Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Caterham could do.
