Caterham: Kovalainen hurt by Lotus stint
– Heikki Kovalainen's trying two-race stint for Lotus at the end of last year hindered his chances of securing a race seat with Caterham for the upcoming F1 campaign, the latter's team chief, Tony Fernandes, has claimed. Kovalainen acted as the Leafield-based outfit's reserve driver in 2013 after three seasons occupying a race seat, but Lotus handed him to opportunity to substitute for fellow Finn Kimi Räikkönen at final two rounds. However, he failed to score and saw Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson land the 2014 Caterham seats.
