Alonso: Formula 1 cars still fun to drive

– Fernando Alonso says Formula 1 cars will still be fun to drive under the sport's new technical regulations. This year, turbocharged V6 power units have been introduced alongside heavily-revised aerodynamics, with drivers getting their first taste of the new driving challenge at this week's opening pre-season test at Jerez. Despite the changes, which look set to significantly raise lap times, Alonso is optimistic that he can still get enjoyment from the sport, arguing that being able to push to the limit is far more important than pure speed.
