Ericsson: As long as the car is quick
Despite covering just one lap on Tuesday, Marcus Ericsson was delighted to have taken his first step as a Formula One driver.
The Caterham rookie was scheduled to run early Tuesday morning in the wake of the team's launch, however, that was pushed back due to issues with the car.
Caterham eventually took the covers off late in the afternoon and Ericsson managed just one installation lap before heading back into the pits.
"I'm very proud to have completed my first lap as an F1 driver today, and want to thank everyone in the team for working so hard to get the car ready for day one in Jerez," said the Swede.
