Lotus reveals rendered image of 2014 design

Whilst the majority of the Formula 1 fraternity sat down to witness the first official unveiling of 2014 machinery in the form of McLaren’s new MP4-29, Lotus elected to reveal a rendered image of their new E22 challenger. Unlike the McLaren MP4-29, the new Lotus seems to include a tusk-like front-wing, similar to that used by Williams during 2004. Prior to the unveiling of both the McLaren MP4-29 and the Lotus E22, it was confirmed that Eric Boullier had stepped down from his role as the team principal of Lotus, immediately beginning speculation that the Frenchman was off to McLaren to assume the void that appears to have been left by Martin Whitmarsh.
