White: F1 will not lose speed due to new 2014 power-units

Renault Sport F1′s deputy managing director Rob White believes F1 will not slow down and lose speed due to the new 2014 V6 Turbo power-units. Despite some concerns that lap times will increase due to the new engines, White says there is 'no need to worry' about the performance of the 2014 cars. When asked if the sport will retain its speed, he replied: 'What was an academic question in the beginning has become a lot more real from every point of view, but we have no need to worry.
