Abiteboul confirms Pic departure
Caterham F1 Team
Caterham team principal Cyril Abiteboul has confirmed that Charles Pic has left the team.
Pic raced for Caterham in 2013 and originally joined them on a multi-year deal.
Pic made his debut for Marussia in 2012 before switching to Caterham in 2013.
"Charles, unfortunately will not be with us next year," Abiteboul told French media outlet Infosport+.
"It is unfortunate that the partnership between Caterham and Charles ends."
"However, personally, I want to thank Charles for the job he has done last year. "
Caterham is close to announcing their 2014 line-up, with Kamui Kobayashi strongly linked with a Formula 1 return.
