Toro Rosso reveals launch date
Toro Rosso has announced that its 2014 contender, the STR9, will have the wraps taken off in Jerez on Monday 27 January.The Faenza outfit is the sixth team to confirm the launch of its 2014 car, which will be rolled out at Jerez the day before the first pre-season test gets underway.Following a disappointing season i2013, when the team could only manage eighth in the standings, over 20 points adrift of seventh placed Sauber, the Red Bull 'sister' team will be looking to take a step forward this year as it switches from Ferrari to Renault powerplants.Jean-Eric Vergne, who is retained for a third season, will be partnered by Russian hot-shot Daniil Kvyat.Chris Balfe
