Fans mark Schumacher birthday with hospital vigil

Fans of Michael Schumacher have gathered for a vigil outside the French hospital in Grenoble where the seven-time Formula One world champion is being treated following his skiing accident.Schumacher, currently in a medically-induced coma after sustaining severe head injuries in a fall in the resort of Meribel last week, turned 45 on Friday.Ferrari, the team with whom Schumacher won 72 Grands Prix between 1996 and 2006, issued a statement of support for their former driver, saying: “he is tackling the most important fight of his life.”“Everyone at Ferrari, from President Luca di Montezemolo and Team Principal Stefano Domenicali, who are in touch all the time with...
