Schumacher injured in skiing accident

Press Association Enlarge Michael Schumacher has been taken to hospital after suffering a head injury in a fall while skiing in the French Alps. Schumacher was skiing off-piste in the resort of Meribel when the accident happened on Sunday morning. The seven-time world champion fell and hit his head on a rock, according to the resort director, Christophe Gernigon-Lecomte. However, Schumacher was wearing a helmet and his injuries are not thought to be serious. "He has been taken to a hospital in Moutiers," Gernigon-Lecomte is quoted as telling Reuters.
