Schumacher airlifted to hospital with head injuries after skiing accident 29 December, 2013 Michael Schumacher is known to be a keen skier Seven times Formula 1 Michael Schumacher has been seriously hurt in a skiing accident, according to reports coming from France.
Europe 1 has reported that Schumacher had been taken to Grenoble Hospital by helicopter with a head injury despite wearing a helmet, but in a conscious state.
The accident reportedly happened while the 44-year-old was skiing in the French resort of Meribel, in the popular Three Valleys ski area.
