Todt dismisses points change as 'not dramatic'

FIA president Jean Todt has called the decision to award double points at the final race of the season "a small change and nothing more." Whilst the idea has caused uproar amongst fans who believe it to be artificial and unfair that one race on the calendar is worth double that of the rest, Todt disagrees. "Well, so much is said, but really it's not such a dramatic change," he told AS. "For me, the introduction of the new 1.6 litre engine with a 40 per cent fuel reduction is much more important. And our priority is to reduce costs. "I think the change of points in one race is not a revolution," he insisted. "It's a small change and nothing more."...
