Button declared after the Canadian Grand Prix that he had never been so happy to climb out of a car, which is a bold comment considering some of the awful machines that he’s driven down the years. Few could have anticipated that McLaren would produce such a terrible car but the question that remained was how much Button was truly extracting from the machine, especially following his good, but not great, record against Lewis Hamilton....
