Two senior Red Bull engineers move to Mercedes

Mercedes continue to recruit team members from their rivals ahead of the 2014 season, this time poaching two senior Red Bull Racing engineers. The Brackley-based outfit finished second in the constructors' championship, well behind run-away leaders Red Bull. However, they now head into next year with two of Adrian Newey's staff, the team have officially confirmed. Head of vehicle dynamics Mark Ellis and Giles Wood, chief engineer for simulator/analysis, will both make the move to Mercedes. They have both worked at Red Bull for over five years and have previous experience at BAR Honda and McLaren respectively.
