Vettel receives BBC Overseas award

– Sebastian Vettel has been named BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year on the back of winning his fourth successive Formula 1 world title. Vettel, who wrapped up this year's crown with three races to spare, equalled the record of nine straight victories set by Alberto Ascari between 1952 and 1953, while also matching fellow German Michael Schumacher's record of 13 wins in a single season. He has joined Juan Manuel Fangio, Alain Prost and Schumacher on four titles. "Thank you very much for the award," said Vettel, who was unable to attend the award ceremony. "It's something very special if I look at the list of previous winners. It's been a fantastic year."...
