Alonso gets first taste of 2014 contender
– Fernando Alonso tested a virtual version of Ferrari's latest Formula 1 challenger earlier this week. The Spaniard, making his final visit to the team's Maranello factory before Christmas, completed a busy simulator programme, getting to grips with the various new procedures that the drivers will face from next season. "I'm pleased with the way the day on the simulator went," Alonso told the official Ferrari website. "We managed to get through everything on the programme that we had in the pipeline.
