Perez backs new points rule
_o0l1ry9i"> Sergio Perez says he sees the FIA's decision to introduce double points for the final race of the season as "a positive". The FIA announced on Monday that the season finale in Abu Dhabi will see the points for both titles doubled, effective from 2014. While the initial reaction has been negative - Sebastian Vettel called the ruling "absurd" - Perez believes it adds a new dimension to the season and should not be immediately dismissed. "I think it's definitely a change of the rule which will have a big impact on how you finish the season," Perez said.
