Vettel wins ninth consecutive race

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel brought the Formula 1 season to a close with victory in an action-packed Brazilian Grand Prix. The world champion controlled the race despite a scare caused by a pit-stop mix-up to equal the record of nine consecutive F1 victories set by Alberto Ascari in 1953. Mark Webber made it a Red Bull one-two in his final F1 race after a battle with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, who was third. Webber celebrated by taking his helmet off to enjoy the crowd's cheers on the slowing down lap. Vettel was in control of the race from the moment he re-rook the lead at the start of the second lap from Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg's Mercedes, who had passed him off the line. But a...
