Teams with vacant 2014 seats should consider Perez – Button

Jenson Button believes any team with a free seat for the 2014 season should consider his current team-mate Sergio Perez. The Mexican announced his departure from McLaren last week and will be replaced by Danish rookie Kevin Magnussen. Perez has had a difficult debut season with the Woking based outfit and currently trails team-mate Button in the drivers' standings by 20 points. However, recent strong performances in India and the USA have helped prove Button's point that he should be considered for a drive next season by teams with vacant seats.
