Webber: Missed pole ruined chances

Mark Webber believes his inability to capture pole position for the United States Grand Prix cost him dearly, with the Red Bull driver having to settle for the final podium spot. Having started from the dirtier side of the grid in second position, Webber lost places to Lotus rival Romain Grosjean and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton at the first corner. And despite his best efforts, he was only able to recover one position before the finish. "Pole position was very important yesterday, it probably cost me a much better result today," Webber said after the race. "I'm a little bit disappointed not to qualify better.
