Button handed three-place grid drop

Jenson Button has been handed a three-place grid penalty for this weekend's United States Grand Prix. The 33-year-old was given the penalty for overtaking another car under red flags during the opening practice session of the weekend. Fernando Alonso topped the heavily disrupted session, which was delayed due to heavy fog and red flagged due to problems with the medical helicopter. Button finished the session in second place. As a result, Button will drop three places from where he qualifies on Saturday. Image courtesy of Octane Photographic
