Track Guide: Circuit Of The Americas
For the final straight that leads to the end of the 2013 Formula One World Championship, the sport heads stateside once again, as Circuit Of The Americas, which is located in Travis County, just outside the capital of the “Lone Star State,” Austin, again hosts the penultimate round of the year.
The 5.513km circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke, who along with the help of promoter Tavo Hellmund and 1993 Motorcycle World Champion, Kevin Schwantz, provided a track with a mixture of corners that are currently in use at some of the tracks around the world, as well as providing its own type of challengers for all that decide to race there.
