Van der Garde: Japan crash over 20 g

Caterham driver Giedo van der Garde has revealed that he pulled over 20 g in his crash in Japan last weekend. The Dutchman and Marussia’s Jules Bianchi made contact at the start on the run down to Turn 1. The incident was investigated post-race by the stewards. However, they ruled that neither was ‘wholly or predominately to blame’. “It was a heavy crash - it was just above 20 g. I am still a little bit stiff here and there. But tomorrow everything will be fine again,” he told GPUpdate.net today.
