Grosjean confident despite practice woes
Lotus F1 Team
Romain Grosjean says he remains confident after he suffered from mechanical problems during both practice sessions in Singapore.
The Frenchman spent a significant period of the first session in the garage as work was undertaken on the steering rack of his Lotus E21.
Grosjean missed the opening section of second practice due to a suspected brake issue. To compound woes, his running was curtailed prematurely due to a hydraulics leak.
But despite the issues, the French racer is upbeat.
'We had a lot of problems today with the car which meant I didn’t complete many laps,' he said after finishing fifth despite his limited running.
