Hamilton: 'Tough' race complicated further by radio failure

Lewis Hamilton suffered a difficult Italian Grand Prix, developing a slow puncture and having to revert to a two-stop strategy. However, a tough charge through the field was complicated further by complete radio failure at the start of the race. The Brit made up ground on the first lap before the unscheduled stop dropped him down the order. He did well to recover but ran the race blind with no radio communication with the team, having to rely on his pit board for information. Speaking about a difficult recovery drive he said in a team statement: 'That was a difficult weekend for me but these things happen and you have to say that it's been a good year so far.
