Red Bull to do Pirelli test?
Red Bull looks set to follow in the footsteps of F1 rival Mercedes by completing a 1000km tyre test at the Circuit de Catalunya.The rumour, which broke during the Italian Grand Prix weekend, claims that the world champions – among the most outspoken critics of Mercedes' 'secret/private' test in May – would comply with the regulations and use a 2011-spec car for the session, but would get an early opportunity to sample the tyres being lined up for 2014.According to Sky Sports, the test would see RBR back-to-back a control tyre based on this year's specifications with the development rubber that Pirelli hopes to introduce in 2014, provided it gets the go-ahead to remain as F1's sole...
