Mercedes looks to 'consolidate' position

Mercedes motorsport chief Toto Wolff says it is the team's "clear target" to solidify its current position of second in the Constructors' standings over the coming races. While Red Bull currently holds a 77-point lead [more than three race victories] at the head of the championship order, the German marque sits 17 points clear of Ferrari in the battle for the runner-up spot, with Lotus lurking a further 31 points in arrears.
