Pirelli pushes on with testing plans

Pirelli is pushing on with its plans for 2014 despite uncertainty over who will be Formula One's tyre supplier. Recent speculation has linked Michelin with a return to the sport next season, with a deal between the FIA and Pirelli still yet to be struck. However, with Bernie Ecclestone claiming that no such deal is required, motorsport director Paul Hembery has confirmed Pirelli is continuing with an extensive testing programme ahead of the major change in regulations for next season.
