Pic reprimanded for Vettel near-miss
Charles Pic has been reprimanded by the Belgian Grand Prix stewards after coming close to collecting Sebastian Vettel when rejoining the track during second practice. Having been forced off the track at the Bus Stop chicane by Caterham team-mate Giedo van der Garde, the Frenchman darted back onto the circuit directly ahead of Vettel, leaving the Red Bull driver with little option but to abandon his timed lap. In a report issued after the session, the stewards explained that the punishment had been handed to Pic for "causing a dangerous situation when rejoining the track."
