Sirotkin to visit Sauber factory next week

Sergey Sirotkin will visit the Sauber factory in Hinwil next week. The Russian, 17, is to begin his development programme ahead of a planned race seat graduation in 2014. Sirotkin, contesting Formula Renault 3.5, was announced as a Sauber protégé last month when the outfit joined forces with a trio of Russian companies. The deal includes the International Institute of Aviation Technologies, led by father Oleg. Running from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 August, Sirotkin's visit will see him meet staff members and learn about the technical side of Sauber's Formula 1 operation.
