Perez pleased with progress

Despite a challenging season so far, Sergio Perez says he is pleased by the progress he has made at McLaren this year.The Mexican joined the former championship winners over the winter from Sauber but has managed just 18 points so far this season, with only one top six finish to his name from the opening ten races of the campaign.McLaren's issues with its 2013 car haven't allowed Perez to show the reasons why the Woking-based team signed him to replace Lewis Hamilton, but the youngster insisted that things are now looking up."It has been difficult to get to know the car,” he was quoted by GPUpdate. “From the first time I drove it in Jerez to now it has changed completely.
