Mercedes hopeful over planned upgrades

Ross Brawn has explained that Mercedes will not ease off its car development push as the second half of the 2013 Formula 1 campaign gets underway, with the outfit determined to maintain its momentum after winning three of the past five races. Having long struggled with tyre degradation issues, the Silver Arrows appeared to find a breakthrough when Pirelli introduced its new tyre construction at the Hungaroring, with Lewis Hamilton securing his first triumph since joining from rivals McLaren.
