Money is a factor…but not with Kimi Raikkonen
Money won't be an object for Red Bull should they decide to make a play for Lotus F1′s Kimi Raikkonen. While team boss Christian Horner says that money is always an issue, he clearly feels that having a driver of Raikkonen's caliber will secure a second or third place spot in the Driver's Championship and the money gained from such a high placing will more than offset any expense the Fin would represent from a salary position. Horner told Reuters:
'Of course, finances are always a factor but…the difference between first and second or second and third and fourth is a significant amount in the constructors' world championship,' he told reporters at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
