James Allison to Ferrari a done deal

James Allison has completed a move to Ferrari which will be welcome news for Fernando Alonso who was keen to work with the Briton again. The former Lotus technical director had been linked with a move to Ferrari ever since he left the Enstone outfit. The Italian's denied the deal as, at the time, it hadn't yet been completed due to complications. Those have now been ironed out and the appointment will likely be confirmed in early August. Earlier in the season, Alonso admitted a desire to work with Allison again after a successful partnership during his years at Renault.
