McLaren testing 2014 parts as it switches focus

McLaren chose to test a mixture of 2013 and 2014 parts on its MP4-28 on the second day of the young driver/tyre test with Oliver Turvey behind the wheel. The outfit admitted after the British Grand Prix that it had switched its focus away from the current season to the next, following one of its worst ever starts. Simulator driver, 20-year-old Turvey, explained the programme he worked through with the team's engineers on Wednesday. "It was a bit of a mixture to be honest," he said.
