McLaren tests 2014 parts at Silverstone

McLaren tested a mixture of 2013 and 2014 parts at the Young Driver Test at Silverstone as Oliver Turvey took to the wheel for the second day. At the British Grand Prix McLaren said its focus is now on 2014 after a disappointing start to the season that sees it lying sixth in the constructors' standings heading towards the mid-point at Hungary. The team has opted to run three of its test drivers at this week's test in the knowledge that running race drivers would restrict its programme to focusing on tyre testing for Pirelli and not performance testing on the car.
