Adapted young driver test to go ahead sans Mercedes
The adapted young driver test at Silverstone will be held over three days starting Wednesday without Mercedes as it has been excluded from the test following the ban handed to the team earlier this year. Following the verdict of the International Tribunal, Mercedes was found guilty of flouting regulations during the controversial tyre test with Pirelli at Barcelona earlier this year. For the outing at Silverstone, the FIA has clarified that only the 2012 construction will be used but with the current compounds.
