McLaren encouraged but not doing handstands

"true">McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh reckons the Woking-based outfit has taken a ‘step in the right direction’ following the squad’s performance at the German Grand Prix last weekend. Jenson Button and Sergio Perez finished sixth and eighth respectively at the Nürburgring ending a two-race barren spell. However, while the 12 points scored was the team's best haul from a single event in 2013, Whitmarsh added that the squad still has a long way to go. “Obviously I'm not doing handstands or anything like that,” Whitmarsh told the Press Association. “We are still not where we expect to be or want to be, but at least it was a step in the right direction....
