Honda confirms UK base for F1 operations
Honda has confirmed that it will set up a base in the United Kingdom for its Formula 1 operations when it returns to the sport. The Japanese car manufacturer recently announced that it would partner with McLaren from 2015 onwards to supply the Woking squad with V6 engines. Development of the new engine will be carried out at their R&D facility in Tochigi, Japan, whilst trackside support will be based at the new Milton Keynes facility not far from Red Bull's base. "With the confirmation of a new F1 operation base in UK, our preparation to join F1 has become more specific and concrete," chief officer of motorsports Yasuhisa Arai said.
