FIA fast-tracks 2014 rules to improve pit lane safety

Following Bernie Ecclestone's announcement that cameramen will be limited to the pit wall during grand prix's, the FIA has revealed that they are sending for approval to the World Motor Sport Council a request to fast-track some of the rules set to debut  in 2014 in a bid to improve safety. The FIA are looking at bringing forward articles 23.11 and 30.12. The first is that all pit crew must wear head protection when in the pit lane. The second is that the speed limit will be decreased at all races other than Australia, Monaco and Singapore (where the speed limit is already lower at 60km/h, from 100km/h to 80km/h.
