Chilton disappointed to miss out to van der Garde

Marussia's Max Chilton has admitted that he is disappointed with his qualifying effort after setting the 22nd and slowest time of Q1. The Brit finished four tenths down on the Caterham drivers time and was hoping for more. Speaking in a team statement after qualifying, Chilton said: 'I was obviously hoping for more today as Van Der Garde has been within reach all weekend. I seemed to struggle a little more in qualifying and for some reason we did not get the best from the car, which is encouraging to some extent because it means we can depend on our stronger race pace.'
