Raikkonen eyes Lotus response

Kimi Raikkonen is hoping to bounce back from disappointment at the British Grand Prix with a podium in Germany this weekend. Having been running as high as second place at Silverstone, Lotus' decision not to pit Raikkonen under the safety car ultimately saw him slip to fifth place on old tyres by the end of the race. Raikkonen was angry at the team following the error, but looking ahead to the Nurburgring he said a top three finish would be a good way to recover this weekend. "We never promise anything beforehand," Raikkonen said. "A podium would be a positive result and a step in the right direction.
