Di Resta excluded from British qualifying

Paul di Resta has been excluded from qualifying after his car was found to be underweight during scrutineering checks after the session. The Scot will now start his home race from the back of the grid, rather than the fifth position he claimed on Saturday. A statement from the stewards confirmed Di Resta had breached both the sporting and technical regulations, with his Force India car coming in 1.5kg under the 642kg minimum limit once the remaining fuel had been drained. It's believed the discrepency surrounds Di Resta's weight, rather than the car itself, with the 27-year-old coming in under his normal weight including helmet, radio and HANS device.
